The Virginia Society for Human Life has sponsored the first "Sign of Life" which has been hung outside Blessed Sacrament School. As the Roe V Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion enters its 27th year, the Alexandria chapter of VSHL has started a program of placing pro-life signs across the area. Blessed Sacrament was the first to host such a sign, which recalls the words of the late Mother Teresa, "Every unborn baby is a beloved child of God."

The sign asks those who need to help to call the parish at (703) 998-6100. In a statement to the Arlington Catholic Herald, Father Cregan stated that "We are willing to help any woman who is afraid or needs help or services. If we get one call from a woman who needs help, then this sign is worth it."
