The Diocese of Arlington requires each school to participate in a program entitled “Formation in Christian Chastity”.  In grades 1 –4 the program simply provides parents with materials to present to their children.  In grades 5-8 the classroom teachers present additional lessons in two religion classes. The lessons for grades 5 –8 will be taught during the religion lessons in the remaining weeks of school.  

You are welcome to review the materials (which include parent resources for grades 1-4, as well as the classroom lesson plans for grades 5 –8) by clicking on the links below.  We also have them in a binder for your review in the main office.  Feel free to look them over and utilize the parent resources as needed.

This is an opt out program for grades 5 -8, which means that if you do not wish your child to receive these lessons, you may simply write a letter to this effect and your child will be given an alternate assignment during the lessons.  We need to have all opt-out letters in the office no later than Tuesday, May 29, as the lessons will commence next week.
